The poem is me questioning my mom about my life. The puzzle pieces in the background represent the different parts of my life. This piece is an image of me when I was a toddler and an image of me when I was in my 20s. The plant on the little girl represents a seed, the drops represent the adult tears that helps grow the little Nicole.

This piece is a combination of a self portrait portrait, and poem that represent the past and the present me.

I created a collage with images and different affirmations that are meaningful to me, and representing how I have grown in my life journey with a combination of the past and present.

My work speaks through itself through the image, and the way the words coincide with one another. The poems are words that connect with the collage.
